Yambol Dog Shelter.

This afternoon we went to meet Christina the girl who volunteers at the well hidden Yambol dog shelter. What a going on the place is on the Rosa road in some old industrial building and before we even reached it we had to get a slip allowing us through the main gate, then following the bloke who takes care of the shelter for the company who own it we weaved round broken down building and arrived at a dilapidated block. The guy was pleasant enough and quite open about everything,it was a very run down building made up of pens in poor condition with a pallet on the floor for the dogs to sleep on,pretty basic I'm afraid but he did seem to be trying. To change opinions about dogs is a very slow process here and the Yambol major is one of the first to make killing a dog illegal unless it is suffering. We don't think it worth while working with this company in any financial way maybe as volunteers for the dogs sake to get them out for a walk, they have no fenced area to exercise and are permanently in the pens.Christina is going to find out how to set a charity up here so that you  can donate knowing your hard earned pennies are going to the cause!!!no pressure then.Anyone interested in giving a few hours please don't hesitate get in touch with me NOW!If you are in the Yambol area and want a puppy or adult dog the shelter has some lovely animals all neuted and vaccinated ready for you.
