This weekend is a Bulgarian holiday like our bank holidays and the weekend when the peace of yambol municipality is shattered by motorbikes.The bike rally is bases just at the back of our village on the top of the bakajik hills its great,hundreds of bikers descend on Yambol and there is a procession through town,the kids are also out in force watching the bikes as they ton along at ridiculous speed for these roads pretty scary some times.On the old main Elkhovo Yambol road they hold a speed contest which was packed yesterday and lots of Bulgarian police were out to keep an eye on the proceedings all usually goes well.At night you can hear the music for miles but come 10-10.30 pm all is quiet again.A really good weekend break from the norm.
Strange things happen we were playing at the Yorkie Bar and a chap came in and started to video us.He is some sort of PR manager from Sofia and doing research for a visit from a English diplomat,well that what we sort of made out so hey were gonna be famous(don't think!)interesting anyway.Pictures of Mark the Yorkie bar owner and PR man Yordan Marinkov.
