- 1lt Water.
- 150gm mixed lentils(I steep these over night with a small t/spoon bicarbonate of soda to soften)
- 100gm tined,fresh,frozen pea's
- 1 sachet cuppersoup any flavour or stock cube.
- Salt and pepper.
- 3 carrots washed and diced.
- 2 potato's washed and diced.
- 1 500gm jar of home canned tomatoes .
- 200gm meat(optional).
- large Onion.
Use a good sized pan and put all the ingredients into it pour enough water over to
just cover the ingredients and simmer on a low heat until cooked stir from time
to time to prevent sticking.
Note check the lentils they tend to take a while to cook.
You can if you wish liquidise the soup to get a smooth consistency, we prefer to leave
the vegetables in pieces.Taste often and add salt and pepper or another stock cube
according to your taste.
add ten minutes before serving so they don't over cook.
