Scarcrow Time

Notice the Morris Dancer Scarecrow's

You either love em!or hate em!

It's the month of the Muston Scarecrow Festival, and even though the weather is really poor and blooming cold for the end of July the villagers have pulled out all the stops. My pictures show a few of the many brilliant scarecrows. So if you fancy a day out they are well worth a look.

Live Music in Filey.

Summer is in full swing and so are all the local bands and singing artists. Most of the pubs have some form of entertainment on from karaoke to live raw musicians.
We have finely taken the plunge and started to rehearse in the Station Pub Filey, and Sunday was our first!(very scary)but we did it and it was great. With the support of my sister Mary,Mr Robert Hartley fileyfolk@aol.com and others we bashed out 2 hours of songs,of course we made mistakes but hey it was a rehearsal.Back mid week(day to be confirmed) and every Sunday night till 9pm.
Friday's you can come to the folk sing along with Robert good fun.

Burton Riggs.

During or time here in Filey we have wandered along the east coast but just by chance we have come across this reclaimed park area near the A64 Scarborough end.It is a lovely place to walk the dogs through wooded areas and along the ponds, which are well stocked up with fish if you fancy a go at fishing.

A good year for the roses
